FAA Flight Training Requirements
The following are the FAA requirements for obtaining your Private Pilot Certificate. As a Private Pilot, you can fly anywhere in the free world and carry passengers day or night!!
• 40 hours min. of logged flight time
• 10 hours min. of solo flight time
• 20 hours min. dual instruction
• 3 hours dual cross country time
• 5 hours solo cross country time
• 3 hours night flight
• 10 take off and landings at night
• 1 cross country flight at night
• 3 hours of basic attitude flight
• 3 hours of dual instruction in preparation for check ride.
• A written examination with a passing
grade of 70% or better
